Ground Zero Analysis, Inc. <br /> • SITE SAFETY PLAN <br /> FACILITY BACKGROUND <br /> The site was previously operated as a retail service station from the 1950s through 1991 dispensing <br /> both gasoline and diesel fuels An underground storage tank (UST) containing unleaded fuel faded <br /> during a routine precision test in 1990 resulting in a release of approximately 300 gallons of fuel. <br /> All USTs were reportedly removed in April 1991 Evidence of release of fuel was noted during <br /> removal Numerous soil borings and three groundwater monitoring wells have been installed in an <br /> effort to determine the vertical and lateral extent of soil and groundwater contamination The <br /> primary contaminant in soil and groundwater is gasoline fuel <br /> WORK PLAN <br /> i <br /> Task One: Advance up to seven (7) soil bonngs using a hand auger to depths of approximately <br /> six (6) feet below ground surface in areas of previously documented soil contamination to <br /> determine current concentrations of residual soil contamination resulting from past site operations <br /> Task Two: Advance four (4) to six (6) borings in the northern portion of the site to determine <br /> the nature of heavy petroleum hydrocarbons noted in subsurface soils along Grandme Road <br /> Task Three: Grout borings, ground truth borings, clean up site <br /> • <br /> PAGE <br />
