0 0
Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan, Revision 2
March 25, 2008
Page 4 of 5
that groundwater stability in the pumping well has been achieved, depth to groundwater will be
measured contemporaneously from the water supply well and the new monitoring wells.
For groundwater sampling, three casing volumes of water will be purged from each well, during
which time water quality parameters will be collected and recorded using a hand-held meter.
Following purging, the water level in the well casing will be allowed to rebound prior to sampling.
Samples collected from the wells will be properly labeled, placed on ice and transported under
chain of custody protocols to a State of California certified laboratory and analyzed for the following
properties:
• Nitrates
• Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
• Electrical Conductivity/Specific Conductance
• Arsenic
• General Chemistry(cations and anions)
Waste Management
All waste generated during field activities will be sealed in 55-gallon drums, labeled, and stored on-
site pending proper disposal. All containers will be labeled with the date of generation, well
designation number, and contents. All waste will be disposed of in accordance with applicable
regulatory requirements. For the purposes of this proposal, it is assumed that the wastes will be
categorized as non-hazardous and accepted to a Class 3 landfill.
Reporting
Upon completion of tasks, SGI will submit a Well Installation Report. This report will contain the
following:
• A detailed description of field activities;
• A map indicating locations of installed wells:
• A lithologic and well Installation log for each well;
• Tabulated groundwater elevation (including groundwater gradient and flow direction if three
wells are gauged) and analytical data;
• Waste disposal documentation; and
• A discussion of results.
The Source Group,Inc.
