proposed work.
PROPOSED WORK
I
Task 1
JPCA will prepare a well permit application, and a Site Specific
Safety Plan and submit them to the SJCEHD. Two push driven soil
and water sampling probes are anticipated. A California C-57 I
Licensed Driller will slant drive .one probe, on the south side of
the excavation.. If required, a second push driven soil and water
sampling probe will be directly:% driven on the north side of the
excavation, as determined in the field. Soil samples will be
collected at 15, 20, 25, and 30` feet below grade.
If two consecutive soil samples,; have Photoionization (PID) or
Organic Vapor Meter (OVM) readings at or below background
concentration levels, those two sample shall be sent to .a
laboratory for confirmation analysis.
One groundwater sample will also be collected.
Task 2
Soil and water samples will be labeled and logged under Chain-of-
Custody (COC) control. Soil and water samples will be stored in
a cooler, with ice, and transported to a state certified
laboratory for analysis with. COC documentation.
Task 3
The soil and water samples collected will be analyzed for Total
Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TPHG) ; Total Petroleum
Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPHG) Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene j
and Xylene (BTEX) via EPA protocol 8015 Modified. In addition rr
the water sample will be analyzed for oxygenates, EDB and 1,2 DCA
via EPA protocol 8260 at a California State Certified Laboratory.
Task 4
A report will be prepared to document the results of the field
work and the laboratory analyses of the samples. The report will
include a summary of the field work,, COC documentation, certified'
analytical results , conclusion's and recommendations regarding
the potential environmental liabilities, if any, at the site. If
the analytical results completed on the soil and groundwater
samples indicate Not Detectable concentrations, "file closure"
will be requested. Two copies of the report will be submitted to
the client.
3
