(Shaw) is pleased to present this letter work plan for proposed over- I <br /> excavation activities at the above-mentioned SBC facility. i <br /> Site BackQroiind <br /> On August 7, 2003, Getter-Ryan, Inc. (Gettler) rurloved a 15,000-gallon split-wall <br /> gasoline/diene:. underground storage tank (UST) from tl:.e site- The UST was used for the <br /> refueling of SBC fleet vehicles. Upon removal, the US7was noted to be in good condition, <br /> without any hetes or other indications of leakage. i1 <br /> Following rerr oval, Shaw, under the direction and supervision of Mr. Dennis Catanyag, collected <br /> soil samples f:om the tank pit and farmer dispenser islands. �The samples were.submitted on a <br /> 24-hour turn around time to McCampbell Analytical, In s.; an ELAP-certified laboratory in <br /> Pacheco, California. The samples were analyzed for tot;1111'petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel <br />` (TPH-D) and TPH-gasoline (TPH-G) under EPA method 8015 (modified), and for benzene, <br /> I <br /> to ethyllienzene, and xylenes (BTEX) constituents xmd(9r EPkmethod 8020. The samples <br /> were further analyzed for the fuel oxygenates methyl tertiary''{'ibutyl ether (MTBE), tert- <br /> amylmethyl ei her (TAME), di-isopropyl ether (RIPE), eth,44ert-butyl ether (ETBE), and tert- <br /> .I , <br /> utanol <br /> b TBA under EPA method 8260.
