The Work Plan Addendum
responds to comments in Regional Board staff s 28 August letter requesting"installation of
monitoring wells and sampling to delineate the lateral and vertical extent of pollution in both the
shallow and deeper water bearing zones."
Although no monitoring wells are proposed in the deeper water bearing zones, vertical
delineation is proposed by cone penetrometer test(CPT) locations. H&H Marina will need to
use the data from the CPT locations to later install monitoring wells to delineate the lateral extent
of petroleum pollution in the deeper water zones. Regional Board staff concurs with the Work
Plan Addendum. Based on the schedule provided,by 23 January 2004, please submit an
investigation report detailing all field activities and sample results and proposing additional
monitoring wells to fully delineate the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum pollution.
