Work Plan Addendum - September 2003 <br /> HERMAN & HELEN'S MARINA <br /> 15135 Eight Mile Road, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Andrew Smith of Herman&Helen's Marina,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br /> Inc. (AGE)has prepared this work plan addendum for 15135 Eight Mile Road,Stockton,California <br /> (site). This addendum is in addition to the work proposed in the AGE-prepared Additional Site <br /> Assessment Work Plan-Revised August 2003, dated 14 August 2003. This work plan was prepared <br /> in response to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board's(CVRWQCB)directive, <br /> in a letter dated 21 April 2003, to continue the delineation of the lateral and vertical extent of <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted soil and groundwater and to determine the source of elevated concentrations <br /> of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater near MW-6;this work plan addendum includes . <br /> concerns expressed by the CVRWQCB to the revised work plan, in a letter dated 28 August 2003 <br /> (Appendix A). <br /> This work plan provides a description of the scope of work and procedures for the advancement of <br /> Cone Penetrometer Test(CPT)borings and abandonment and installation of monitoring wells at the <br /> site. The site and the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1. Structures, monitoring well and <br /> sampling locations are illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> Site background information is provided in Appendix B.Additional information can be found in the <br /> AGE-prepared documents Additional Soil and Ground Water Investigation Report dated 11 April <br /> 2003 and Quarterly Report-Second Quarter 2003 dated 30 July 2003. <br /> 3.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In addition the work outlined in the AGE-prepared Additional Site Assessment Work Plan-Revised <br /> August 2003, dated 14 August 2003, AGE proposes the following scope of work: <br /> • Permitting and pre-fieldwork preparations; <br /> • CPT soil boring advancement; <br /> • Soil and ground water sample collection and analysis; <br /> • Monitoring well abandonment; <br /> • Monitoring well installation and sampling; and <br /> • Report preparation. <br /> Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
