SUMMARY/CONCLUSIONS
On September 30 and October 1, 1998, Condor Earth Technologies, Inc (Condor) conducted quarterly
groundwater and surface water monitoring at Herman & Helen's Marina located at Venice Island 1 erry in
Stockton, California Laboratory analytical results indicated that the gasoline oxygenate MTBE was detected in
' samples collected from monitor wells MW-2 and MW-3 at concentrations of 59,000 µg/1 and 5,900 110,
respectively MTBE was detected at a much lower concentration of 3 7 µg11 in the sample collected from MW-4
TAMP, was detected in the groundwater samples collected from monitor wells MW-2 and MW-3 in
' concentrations of 270 µg/l and 22 gg/l, respectively No oxygenates/additives were detected at or above the
laboratory reported detection limits in the sample collected from MW-1
TPII-G (0 2 mg/1), benzene (35 µ.g/1), ethyl benzene (15 µg/1), and total xylenes (13 lig/1) were detected in the
sample collected from MW-4 Toluene (7 0 µg/1) was detected in the sample collected from MW-2 TPH-G and
BTEX constituents were not reported at or above the laboratory reported detection limits in the samples collected
' from monitor wells MW-1 and MW-3 The detection limits for TPH-G and BTEX were raised for the samples
collected from MW-2 and MW-3 due to elevated MTBE concentrations in those samples
' Laboratory analytical results of the groundwater samples collected during the third quarter 1998, monitoring
event are generally consistent with historical quarterly groundwater analytical data The MTBE concentrations
in the samples collected from MW-2 and MW-3 increased significantly with respect to the second quarter 1998
' laboratory analytical results The concentration of MTBE reported for the sample collected from MW-3 on
September 30, 1998, represents a historical high for this constituent in samples collected from this well
' Evaluation of intrinsic bioremediation parameters is best done using a data set that includes as much as one year
of monitoring Additional monitoring of the intrinsic bioremediation parameters should continue to evaluate the
potential for intrinsic bioremediation at the site
1
k
' ;ir CONDOR
