INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Andrew Smith, Advanced GeoEnvlronmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared the <br /> enclosed quarterly report of environmental activities conducted at 15135 Eight Mile Road,Stockton, <br /> California The scope of work included quarterly ground water monitoring, surface water sampling <br /> and preparation of this report In addition, this report includes a summary of the environmental <br /> activities at the site during the 2003 calender year <br /> Monitoring wells MW-2 through MW-14 and extraction well EW-1 were monitored and sampled, <br /> and four surface water samples were collected during the fourth quarter 2003 The site and the <br /> surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 Structures and monitoring well and sampling locations <br /> are illustrated on Figure 2 Ground water monitoring and sample analytical data from September <br /> 1997 to the present are summarized in Tables 1 and 2 Detailed site background information can be <br /> found in Appendix A <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> • Field work was conducted and this report was prepared in accordance with the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP) <br /> No 5-01-835, dated 05 June 2001,and guidelines established by San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (EHD) for sampling ground water monitoring wells <br /> 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br /> On 31 December 2003, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water <br /> in monitoring wells MW-2 through MW-14 and extraction well EW-1 relative to the tops of the well <br /> casings After water level measurements were recorded,either disposable plastic bailers or a Watera <br /> inertia pump with dedicated tubing were used to purge the monitoring wells of standing water The <br /> wells were evacuated in order of least contaminated to most contaminated, based on previous <br /> monitoring data <br /> Approximately 3 0 to 6 5 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing-water volumes per well) were <br /> removed from wells MW-2 through MW-5, MW-9, MW-10, MW-12 and MW-14, approximately <br /> 26 to 30 gallons of water were removed from wells MW-6, MW-7, MW-8 and MW-11, and <br /> 82 gallons of water were removed from well EW-1, well MW-13 was dry and was neither purged <br /> or sampled Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at regular Intervals <br /> during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix B <br /> Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc <br />
