INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Andrew Smith, Advanced GeoEnvlronmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared the
enclosed quarterly report of environmental activities conducted at 15135 Eight Mile Road,Stockton,
California The scope of work included quarterly ground water monitoring, surface water sampling
and preparation of this report In addition, this report includes a summary of the environmental
activities at the site during the 2003 calender year
Monitoring wells MW-2 through MW-14 and extraction well EW-1 were monitored and sampled,
and four surface water samples were collected during the fourth quarter 2003 The site and the
surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 Structures and monitoring well and sampling locations
are illustrated on Figure 2 Ground water monitoring and sample analytical data from September
1997 to the present are summarized in Tables 1 and 2 Detailed site background information can be
found in Appendix A
2.0. PROCEDURES
• Field work was conducted and this report was prepared in accordance with the Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP)
No 5-01-835, dated 05 June 2001,and guidelines established by San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department (EHD) for sampling ground water monitoring wells
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 31 December 2003, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water
in monitoring wells MW-2 through MW-14 and extraction well EW-1 relative to the tops of the well
casings After water level measurements were recorded, either disposable plastic bailers or a Watera
inertia pump with dedicated tubing were used to purge the monitoring wells of standing water The
wells were evacuated in order of least contaminated to most contaminated, based on previous
monitoring data
Approximately 3 0 to 6 5 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing-water volumes per well) were
removed from wells MW-2 through MW-5, MW-9, MW-10, MW-12 and MW-14, approximately
26 to 30 gallons of water were removed from wells MW-6, MW-7, MW-8 and MW-11, and
82 gallons of water were removed from well EW-1, well MW-13 was dry and was neither purged
or sampled Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at regular Intervals
during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix B
Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc
