' Work Plan-Soil and Groundwater Investigation
Hennas&Helen's Marina
May 30, 1995
Page-2-
not encountered during the UST removal. Six (6) soil samples were collected by Condor from the
UST excavation at depths of 9 to 12 feet below the ground surface (bgs). The samples were analyzed
for TPH-G (gasoline), BTEX, TEPH (diesel), EDB (ethylene dibromide), and total lead. Laboratory
' analyses indicated elevated concentrations of TPH-G, TEPH, and BTEX constituents in the soil
samples. For additional information, refer to Tank Pull Testing Results, prepared by Condor, dated
' November 18, 1991.
' 3.0 PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK
This section includes a description of the proposed site preparation, hydropunch drilling,
sampling, laboratory analysis, and reporting.
3.1 Site Preparation
' Prior to the fieldwork, authorization will be obtained from Reclamation District #2029 for the
drilling to be conducted on the levee. Adjustments will be made to the scope-of-work, as needed, to
' satisfy the Reclamation District requirements.
Upon receipt of authorization from the Reclamation District, drilling permits will be obtained
from the SJCEHD. The proposed drilling locations will be marked with white paint and Underground
' Service Alert (USA) will be notified at least 72 hours in advance of the fieldwork to locate and
identify underground utilities in and near the work area. The SJCEHD, the Reclamation District, and
' the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (CRWQCB)will be notified of the fieldwork
schedule at least 48 hours in advance. No drilling will take place in the levee during times that the
' Reclamation District feels the tides may create a dangerous condition.
' 3.2 Drilling Procedures
The hydropunch boreholes will be drilled by B&F Drilling of Rancho Cordova, California
' (C57 license #519428). A Condor geologist will be on site to supervise the drilling, soil sampling,
and groundwater sampling. The proposed hydropunch drilling locations are shown on Figure 2, Site
' Map. Prior to commencement of fieldwork, a tailgate safety meeting will be held and a site-specific
Health and Safety Plan will be discussed with, and presented to, all crew members for their signatures.
A copy of the Health and Safety Plan is contained in the Appendix of this document.
Lir CONDOR
