You submitted the Work Plan in response to Regional Board staff's
9 August 2004 letter requesting that you re-clean the drop inlet and culvert that was contaminated with
diesel fuel apparently from the spill that occurred on 30 August 2003. Our letter also asked for
information on site facilities and stormwater runoff drainage patterns.
The Work Plan proposes to re-wash the drop inlet and culvert and sample the discharge water for total
petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd). The Work Plan also proposes to inventory and map site
features including drainage patterns, describe existing stormwater management practices, and propose a
monitoring plan to document the quality of storm water runoff from the Stockton Yard.
The Work Plan is acceptable. By 31 January 2005, please submit a site assessment report for the
requested tasks. Be sure to notify this office at least 72 hours prior to performing any field work so that
we can arrange to be on site during the work.
