_ ` a
ano
1 7.0 PROJECT SCHEDULE
_ The project scope is divided into five major task areas: (1)
preliminary engineering, (2) detailed engineering, (3) permit
acquisition, (4) system installation and (5) system operation.
Preliminary engineering includes development of the design basis,
determination of regulatory constraints, development of the site
Health and Safety Plan and the process flow diagrams. This task is
estimated to require less than one week.
Detailed engineering includes the selection of major equipment,
development of piping, electrical and instrumentation diagrarns,
compound layout, emergency action plan requirements and construction
details. Major equipment procurement is carried out as part of this
task which is estimated to require approximately two weaks.
Construction permit applications will be submitted to the City of
Stockton and discharge permit applications have been submitted to the
regional Water Quality Control Boe,.d and the Stockton Municipal
Utilities District. A dual Permitting track is being pursued in
order to provide the maximum flexibilityin r,
Injection of the treated water into u gproject scheduling.
pgradient well MWS is .1e
preferred disposal alternative, however, if for any reason Waste
Discharge Requirements cannot be obtained or are delayed discharge to
the municipal wastewater system will be Implemented. It is
anticipated that it will take approximately 4 to 10 weeks --f-
submittal and approval of the permits. or
System installation includes the preparation of the site,
construction of the treatment compound, setting of the pumps and the
. installation of major equipment, electrical components and control
system and the initial system shakedown. Installation is expected to
"? take approximately 2 weeks from the issuance of the building permit.
Full system operation will continue afrer the initial shakedown and
adjustment period. Operation will .include a monitoring and sampling
program to assess the progress of the extraction and treatment
r process. All reporting will be performed in accordance with
regulatory agency guidelines.
The overall project schedule is dependent upon certain regulatory
milestones. Initiation of the above schedule is proposed within one
week of receiving approval of the Remedial Action Plan.
Weber Point Prop-irt7 - 475
- - R20P"741.TLP _ 13 - - .
