SANTOCHI & BRAVANTE LLC.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS
jt I
TELEPHONE (7 14)644-2690 ! t "":11 + t.l
.+ is1 ZO CORPORATE PLAZA
FACSIMILE (7 14)644-2691 NEWPORT BEACH,CA 92660
97 33
January 20, 1997
Mr. Mike Infurna
San Joaquin County Environmental Health
304 East Weber Avenue 3rd Floor
Stockton, California 95201-0388
Dear Mike:
Enclosed is a copy of the Phase II investigation performed at 222 North El Dorado Street in Stockton,
California in December 1996. The investigation gathered groundwater analytical data from groundwater
monitoring wells on the subject property and soil data from the basement area of the building. The report also
included groundwater and soils data collected by CRC Environmental Risk Management, Clayton
Environmental Consultants, and Santochi&Bravante LLC over several years. The results of the investigation
indicate the following:
• Petroleum constituents, including weathered gasoline, are present in the soils of the.subject property
located in the basement area.
• Gasoline constituents currently present in the monitoring wells are likely the result of offsite sources.
• Long term groundwater gradient information collected at the subject property shows a consistent east,
northeast gradient direction.
This report recommends characterization of the petroleum impact in the basement area, and the installation
of an additional groundwater monitoring well located down gradient from the impacted area. A work plan for
this phase of work will be forwarded to you prior to initiation.
I
Should you'"have any questions, feel free to call me at_(714) 644-2690.
Sincerely,
SANTOCHI & BRAVA I
11iEV0R D.SUMN CHI
No.M1
Trevor D.
