i <br /> 14.2 Injury/illness <br /> The severity of on-site injury/illness will be assessed by on-site personnel. A first- <br /> aid kit will be available for minor injuries. <br /> Conditions requiring medical treatment will be handled as follows: <br /> • Minor Injury/Illness: Person will be assisted with decontamination- and <br /> available on-site treatment will be rendered. If treatment by a physician is <br /> indicted, the person will be transported by car to the nearest emergency <br /> medical facility by project field staff. <br /> • Major Injuries/Illness: If condition requires ambulance, emergency medical <br /> treatment will be summoned by dialing "911". If decontamination (could <br /> consist of cutting/tearing off contaminated protective clothing) can be <br /> performed without risking further injury or resulting in lost time, this shall be <br /> conducted while awaiting assistance in addition to whatever first aid may be <br /> ' rendered. It is anticipated the work on this project will not involve extremely <br /> hazardous contaminants. Medical personnel will be informed of the nature of <br /> potential contaminants on the victim by the FSS. <br /> ' The nearest p <br /> hospital is St. Joseph's Oak Park Hospital located at 1800 N. <br /> P P <br /> California Street, Stockton, CA - within 1 1/2 miles north of the job site (See <br /> Hospital Location Map, Appendix B).
