l +
07 February 1999
'AGE-NC Project No 95-0135
' Page 3 of 4 _
' The highest concentrations of hydrocarbons were detected in well MW-1 located near the western ;
edge of the property, north of the former dispenser at the site Benzene was detected in the water
sample from well MW-lA at 775 micrograms per liter (,ug/1)
TPH-g was detected at a concentration of 5,730µg/1 in the sample from well MW-1A Sample MW- `
1 B, collected from the upper screened casing of the well, contained TPH-g at a concentration of 830
µgll
The maximum toluene concentration detected was 28µg/1, encountered in M W-l A The maximum
' ethylbenzene and total xylenes concentrations of 170 µg/1 and 64 8 ug/l, were encountered in
samples MW-lA and MW-2B, respectively,
r -
The oxygenated fuel additives DIPE, ETBE, TAME, and MTBE were detected in the water samples'
collected from the site DIPE was detected in wells MW-lA,MW-2A and MW-2B at concentrations
of 6 4µg11, 41 µg11, and 2 6µg11 respectively ETBE was detected in wells MW-2A and MW-2B at
concentrations of 1 8 4g11, and 13 1 ug/l, respectively TAME was detected in wells MW-IA, MW-
IB, MW-2A, and MW-2B at concentrations of 1,220 µg11, 13 6, µg/1, 67 µg/1 and 202 µg11
respectively MTBE was detected in wells MW-1B, MW-2A, MW-2B, MW-3A, and MW-3B at
concentrations of 1 5 µg/l, 4 1 µg/l, 45 4, µg/1, 3 5 µg/1 and 3 5 µg/l, respectively
Analytical results of ground water samples are summarized on Tables 2 and 3 The laboratory report
(PET PE6790-01 to 06) Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QA/QC) and chain-of-custody are
in Appendix B
4.0. SUMMARYICONCLUSIONS
The following conclusions wer6 drawn from the results of this investigation 1
• On 30 December 1999 the ground water flow direction at the site was generally toward the
southeast Ground water elevation has dropped an average 0 73 feet between the September
1999 and December 1999 monitoring events -
• The analytical data from the lower screened casing intervals of wells MW-1 and MW-2
indicted that the highest concentration of dissolved hydrocarbons remains in the western
f portion of the site _
• Monitoring well MW-3 appears to be located near the, eastern margin of the dissolved
hydrocarbon plume
• The lateral extent of dissolved hydrocarbons is not defined west, south and north of well
MW-1 or south and north of well MW-2
Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,Inc
