6.6 Levels of Protection <br /> For the described activities, Level D PPE is modified to require the use of gloves during <br /> the collection and handling of samples and during decontamination. Hard hats and steel- <br /> toed boots will be worn. The HSO;will review the level of protection and safety <br /> 7.equipment required for each task with the field crew. <br /> Whenever air monitoringconfirms an OVA',, readinggreater than 10 ppm above <br /> � <br /> background, the level of protection in the excl'bsion zone will be upgraded to Level C. <br /> 1. Decisions regarding the level of protection upgrades will be made by the HSO, who will. <br /> then provide appropriate documentation to the project manager.
