' Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. 400 N. El Dorado, Stockton, CWdorma
February 2, 1994 Site Assessment Report —RNH 207201 Page 1 of 12
PROJECT SUMMARY
This subsurface drilling investigation, approved by the San Joaquin County Public Health
Services — Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD), was implemented to further
delineate the vertical and lateral extent of soil contamination surrounding a former UST
pit at the site
' On October 13 and 14, 1993, five soil borings were installed at locations surrounding the
former UST excavation (Tanks 4 and 5) at total depths ranging from 26 5- to 36 5-feet
Soil was collected at specified intervals, samples were selected for laboratory analysis,
and the analytical results were utilized to generate vertical contamination profiles
Analytical laboratory results for TPH (Method 418 1), TVPH (Method 8015-CDHS) and
BTEX (Method 8020) were predominantly nondetect, and all were below applicable
California action levels in soil PID field screening and physical observations indicated the
presence of volatile hydrocarbons in the headspace of several of the soil samples, in
contrast with the laboratory analytical data.
' One soil boring was completed as a 4-inchi
d ameter vapor extraction well, and one boring
was completed as a 2-inch diameter observation well The remaining soil borings were
abandoned with portland cement grout
Information obtained from the October 1993 field activity is reported herein, and will be
N used to direct further field activity as necessary
' RYAN—MURPHY, INCORPORATED Denver
Fnv&v=medal Co=&uctkm Management Las Angeles
