• <br /> 2.0 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The scope of work for this site assessment includes the following tasks <br /> ❑ Soil Boring, Sampling, and Well Installation Soil borings may be drilled in various <br /> locations to evaluate soil lithology and collect soil samples Borings will be drilled <br /> using hollow-stem auger or direct-push techniques Borings will be drilled to total <br /> depths of 40 feet below grade and soil samples will be collected from 5-foot <br /> intervals Borings may be completed as monitoring wells <br />' ❑ Groundwater Sampling Groundwater samples may be collected from existing or <br /> new monitoring wells The wells will be purged of three to five casing volumes <br /> before sample collection The water samples will be collected using <br />' decontaminated Teflon bailers or disposable bailers The samples will be placed in <br /> glass bottles and transported to the analytical laboratory within 24 hours of <br /> collection <br /> I <br /> 10 <br /> • <br />' S\BFS\STOCKTON\HSP001] 10/15/99 2-1 <br />
