20 September 2019 AdvancedCzeo
AGE Proposal No. 16-3734 Environmental
Page 2 of 2 M..MM
The 250-gallon used oil AST is single walled. A concrete pad with an internalized slope
has been constructed around the waste oil ASTs. The 350-gallon new motor oil AST is
single walled, located in the truck maintenance building on a concrete pad with an
Internalized slope. The Facility is unattended for a maximum cf 24 hours (Sunday
overnight). Any spill into the berm secondary containment area would be detected before
it could escape. The surface of the concrete floor, the inside and outside of the walls, and
the interface of the floor and walls, are visually inspected during the monthly Facility
inspection to detect any crack, signs of heaving or settlement, or other structural damage
that could affect the ability of the berm to contain oil. Any damage is promptly corrected
to prevent migration of oil into the ground, or out of the berm.
Additionally, the Facility uses 55-gallon drums of motor oil, hydraulic oil, waste oil orwaste
filters which are stored over secondary containment spill pallets largeenough to contain
110% of the largest container.
CONCLUSIONS
AGE has determined that the current use of secondary containment of 55-gallon drums
are sufficient and has been approved by the Professional Engineer(PE). This letter report
will be included into the SPCCP binder and kept on site for the life of the plan- Due to the
SPCCP being due for an update in December 2021, this amendment will be corrected
within the new plan in 2021.
If you have any questions or require any further information, please contact our office at
(800) 511-9300.
Sincerely,
Advanced 'ronmental, Inc.
REJne M.
