Appendix H: Phase II Limited Subsurface Investigation AGE-NC Project No. 11-2006 Page 4 of 4 CONCLUSIONS Based on the data collected from this investigation, AGE concludes: • Constituents of concern were not reported at or above laboratory detection limits in any of the analyzed soil samples, suggesting there is no significant VOC-impact to soil in the areas of investigation. • Elevated concentrations of gasoline, benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene,total xylenes and other VOCs were reported in the grab ground water sample collected from boring B1 (131-W), indicating ground water contamination is present beneath the property. However, contaminants of concern were not detected in the grab ground water samples collected from borings B4 and B6 suggesting the impact is limited to the central parking lot areas. • Gasoline and toluene concentrations in the watersamples from boring B1 exceeded the established commercial/industrial land use San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board's Environmental Screening Levels (ESLs) of 100 pg/L and 20 tag/L, respectively. Benzene, toluene and ethylbenzene concentrations in boring B1 did not exceed their respective ESI-s. LIMITATIONS AGE's professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based primarily upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the subject property for the purpose of this investigation were made from a limited number of available data points(i.e., soil borings, soil sample and grab ground water samples) and subsurface conditions may vary beyond these data points.
