Effluent Treatment Facilities - 40 CFR 112.8(c)(9) <br /> This section is not applicable since there are no effluent treatment systems at this Facility. <br /> 5.2.10. Visible Discharges - 40 CFR 112.8(c)(10) <br /> Visible discharges from any container or appurtenance — including seams, gaskets, <br /> piping, pumps, valves, rivets and bolts — are quickly corrected upon discovery. Oil is <br /> promptly removed from berm areas and disposed of according to the waste disposal <br /> method described in Section 5.0. of this Plan. <br /> 5.2.11. Mobile and Portable Containers - 40 CFR 112.8(c)(11) <br /> The Facility uses 55-gallon drums which are stored over secondary containment spill <br /> pans or within area with land-based spill response. <br /> 5.3. TRANSFER OPERATIONS, PUMPING, AND IN-PLANT PROCESSES <br /> - 40 CFR 112.8(d) <br /> Transfer operations at this Facility include: <br /> • Waste oil transfer into the corresponding ASTs. <br /> • The filling of Facility equipment utilizing appropriate equipment at the fueling ASTs. <br /> • The transfer of oil from tanker trucks at the unloading area. <br /> • The transfer of oil to vehicles in the maintenance areas. <br /> 5.3.1 . Transfer Lines Not In-Service <br /> Lines that are not in service for an extended period of time are capped or blank-flanged <br /> and marked as to their origin. <br /> 5.3.2. Standby Transfer Lines <br /> Lines that are on standby for an extended period of time are capped or blank-flanged and <br /> marked as to their origin. <br />
