The levels detected in the
confirmation soil samples appear to be similar to the background levels of the general area.
Therefore, with the provision that the information provided to this agency was accurate and
representative of existing conditions, PHS/EHD has determined that additional investigation with
respect to this spill is not warranted at this time. The site will not be added to the local contaminated
data base list, nor will it be referred to any state agency for follow up.
Please be advised that this letter does not relieve you of any liability under the California Health and
Safety Code or Water Code for past, present, or future operations at the site. Nor does it relieve you
of the responsibility to clean up existing, additional or previously unidentified conditions at the site
which cause or threatens to cause pollution or nuisance or otherwise pose a threat to water quality or
public health.
If you have any questions or wish to discuss this letter in more detail, please contact Linda Turkatte,
Senior REHS, at (209) 468-3441.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
I
Linda Turkatte, Senior REHS Diane M. inson, EHS
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
10
c: lk file
HWG file
A 1?minion or San JOUCIuin County Heuith Fare Services
