Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan <br /> April 1997 <br /> STOCKTON PLATING <br /> 632 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Stockton Plating,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc., (AGE) has <br /> prepared this the enclosed Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan for the site located at 632 South <br /> El Dorado Street, Stockton, California. The scope of work includes installation of one additional <br /> ground water monitoring well at the site. <br /> The scope of work is to assess the lateral and vertical extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soil and <br /> ground water near the former underground storage tank (UST) areas. The location of the site is <br /> illustrated in Figure 1 - Location iVap. A plan of the site is depicted in Figure 2 -Site Plan. <br /> This work plan is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Co:trol <br /> Board guidelines for the investigation of UST sites <br /> Background information, including details of previous site assessment work, was presented in <br /> previous quarterly reports and in the Corrective Action Plan - December 1995, prepared by AGE. <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 2.1. DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br /> The scope of work will include the advancement of borings to a total depth of approximately 45 <br /> feet below surface grade (bsg), collection of soil samples, and the installation of a 2-inch diameter <br /> ground water monitoring well. Soil borings will be advanced utilizing a truck-niounted, drill rig <br /> equipped with 8.25-inch hollow-stens augers. <br /> Soil samples will be collected at five-foot intervals begiiuiing at a depth of 5 feet bsg, preserved and <br /> placed in a chilled container for transportation to a State-certified laboratory. Soils will be described <br /> using the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS). Soil sample descriptions and PID screening <br /> results will be summarized on boring logs prepared for the final report. <br /> 2.2. EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION <br /> All sampling tools and brass sleeves used for sample collection will be thoroughly rinsed 'NN ith clean <br /> eater after washing with a solution of Alconox.
