MONITORING WELL COMPLETION
The soil boring will be completed as 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring well. A proposed
ground water monitoring well construction diagram is included as Figures 3 - 'Uonitoring TVell
Design.
The monitoring well will be developed utilizing a submersible pump or bailer. Water will be purged
from each well so that the well is essentially sediment free. Purged ground water will be stored on-
site in DOT drums.
A reference point will be marked on the top of the well head, and surveyed the to the nearest 0.01-
inches to determine the elevation relative to existing monitoring wells.
2.4. LABORATORY ANALYSIS
Selected soil and ground water sarnples will be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified
as gasoline (TPH-g) and volatile aromatics (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes: BTE&X)
and methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) in accordance with EPA methods 8015m/5030 and
8020/602, respectively.
