' Stockton Plating Inc.
Soil s Groundwater Investigation
April 1
Pagege 3 -- 3
the former tank indicated gasoline concentrations in the soil.
Tetraethyl lead and ethylene dibromide were not detected in the
soil samples . A report was prepared by Condor summarizing the
' work (Tank Pull Testing Results, January 2, 1991) .
' 2.3 Soil Investigation (SBI through SB6)
In September, 1991, six ( 6 ) soil borings were drilled around
the TK1-86 and TK1-90 sites (Figure 2 ) under the supervision of
' Condor to evaluate the extent of soil contamination. Laboratory
results indicate that hydrocarbon was detected in each of the
' soil borings . TPH-gasoline and BTEX were detected In soil boring
SB3 at 20 feet and 30 feet below the ground surface.
Concentrations of BTEX were also detected in SB2 at 20 feet and
I 45 feet, and in borings SB4 , SB5, and SB6 at 45 feet. Diesel was
detected at 26 mg/kg in SB1 at a depth of 50 feet. In each
boring, grey-green stained soil was encountered from
approximately 25 feet below the ground surface to the bottom of
Ieach borehole (Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report,
by Condor, dated October 10 , 1991) .
3.0 SITE GEOLOGY
The SPI site is located in the delta region of the northern
San Joaquin Valley and is situated adjacent to Morman Slough,
ii CON009
