' Stockton Plating Inc
Sail a Groundwater Investigation
April 19, 2994
Page - 2 -
' environmental investigation of former underground diesel tanks
has been conducted at the linen cleaning facility; however, the
' resulting data have not been released due to litigation.
2.1 Underground Storage Tank Removal (TK1-86
)
' On August 14, 1986, American Environmental Management
Corporation (AEMC) of Rancho Cordova, California removed a 1, 000-
gallon underground storage tank (TK1-86) from SPI (Figure 2) .
The tank had contained leaded gasoline. Analytical results of
the soil sample (SP-1) collected from beneath the former tank
' location indicated the presence of diesel, motor oil, and total
lead. No apparent source for the diesel was determined. AEMC
reported encountering rubble fill material during the tank
removal . AEMC conducted additional excavation in August, 1986 .
' Two soil samples were collected from the west and east sides of
' the excavation. Total lead and low levels of aromatic volatile
organics were detected in both samples, and 940 mg/kg diesel 'was
' detected in the east sample (Underground Storage Tank Removal and
Soil Sampling, October 6, 1986 ) .
' 2.2 Underground Storage Tank Removal (TK1-90)
On December 11, 1990, Oil Equipment Service (OES) of San
' Andreas, California, removed a 2,000-gallon underground fuel
storage tank (TK1-90) from SPI (Figure 2) . The tank had
' contained unleaded gasoline. Soil samples collected from beneath
a
 CONDOR
