During drilling in soils containing organic vapors and liquid contaminants, <br /> all personnel shall undertake the following precautions: <br /> 1. Skin/Clothes Protection <br /> a. Disposable suits, steel-toed rubber boots or steel-toed boots covered <br /> with disposable boots, and suitable gloves will be worn at all times. <br />' b. Disposable plastic gloves will be worn for sampling (changed after <br /> each sample). <br />' c. Hard hats will be worn during all activities. <br /> d. Disposable clothing will be discarded to an appropriate storage <br />' container at the end of each day and disposed of properly at the <br /> completion of the job. <br /> 2. Respiratory/Eye/Ear Protection <br />' a. During drilling activities, ambient air and soil vapor will be <br /> monitored with an OVA. <br /> b. Site perimeter will also be monitored on 30 minute intervals. <br /> Monitoring frequency will be increased by the site manager if <br />' conditions approach 10 ppm with the OVA. <br /> c. Safety glasses will be worn during all activities. <br /> d. Appropriate hearing protection will be used during all drilling <br /> activities. <br />
