The samples will be stored for shipment in a cooler <br /> chilled to 4-degrees Celsius with Blue Ice and delivered under <br /> chain-of-custody procedures to GeoAnalytical Laboratories, Inc. , <br />' in Modesto, California. <br /> 3.2 Monitor Well Construction <br /> The monitor wells will be installed following protocol <br /> established by the California Regional Water Quality Control <br /> IBoards ' Tri-Regional Guidelines and LUFT Field Manual. The wells <br /> will be constructed of 4-inch O.D. , Schedule 40, machine-slotted <br /> PVC screen, installed from a depth of 70 feet to 50 feet and <br /> Iblank PVC casing installed from the 50-foot depth to the ground <br /> surface. The well casing will be steam cleaned prior to <br />' installation. A sand pack of #3 Monterey sand will be placed in <br /> the annular space to at least 2 feet above the screen. <br /> Approximately 3 feet of bentonite will be placed above the sand <br /> to form a protective seal. The bentonite will be hydrated using <br /> potable water. A surface seal of neat cement containing 5% <br /> bentonite w111 be tremied into the annular space between the <br /> bentonite and the surface, and a locking, water tight traffic box <br /> will be installed approximately 1 to 2 inches above the ground <br /> surface. <br /> Nt�_ <br /> I $� CONDOR <br />
