AGE-NC Project No 95-0142 <br />' Page 13 of 16 <br />' 4 5 1 Ground Water Extraction Piping System <br /> A network of one-Inch, schedule 40 PVC piping and schedule 80 PVC electrical conduits will be <br /> Installed In a trench approximately Moot wide by 1 foot deep, the PVC Schedule 80 conduits will <br /> be Installed for the ground water extraction system and for pump power control within the trenches <br /> for the extraction wells <br />' The one-Inch PVC piping will be routed from each ground water extraction well head to a water <br /> holding tank, the holding tank will be connected with two-Inch PVC piping to the GAC ground <br />' water treatment system consisting of three,in-line vessels A plan of the proposed piping system and <br /> enclosed unit location are depicted in Figure 4a <br />' At the direction of the property owner and due to property use constraints,the location of the ground <br /> water pump and treat system is proposed to be at the southeast corner of the site (Figure 3) This <br /> proposed location of the pump and treat system will allow the site to conduct normal day-to-day <br /> business without interference from the operation of the remediation system The pump and treat <br /> system will be secured by a chain-linked, gated enclosure approximately 15 feet wide, 20 feet long <br /> and six feet high <br /> Electricity is readilyavailable to the site A dedicated electrical meter has been installed that will <br /> connect directly to the pump and treat system <br />' 4 5 2 Discharge Piping System <br /> AGE plans to install a two-Inch diameter, schedule 40 PVC pipe underground along the south side <br />' of the site to the City of Stockton discharge line located at Scotts Avenue (see Figure 4a) AGE <br /> anticipates a continuous discharge of treated ground water from the site to the City of Stockton <br /> sanitary sewer at a flow rate of approximately 20 gallons per minute <br /> 4 5 3 Ground Water Extraction Monitoring Activities <br /> The pump and treat system will be monitored weekly to ensure optimal removal of dissolved <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons and to comply with the required City of Stockton discharge permit The <br />' ground water effluent flow readings will be recorded downstream of the GAC absorption vessels <br /> Grab treatment water samples will be collected'on a monthly basis from the Influent and effluent <br /> sample points of the pump and treat system The water samples will be collected Into 40-m1 <br />' EPA-approved VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative, <br /> • Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
