1 <br /> L <br /> t <br /> 07 July 2003 <br /> rAGE-NC Project No 95-0142 <br /> x <br /> rMr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, 3rd Floor <br />' Stockton, Ca 95202 <br /> rSubject: Site Model and Ground Water Extraction Analysis <br /> FORMER STOCKTON PLATING FACILITY <br />' 632 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California <br /> , L <br /> n <br /> r The site is located along Scotts Avenue in a relatively flat area of southwest Stockton, immediately <br /> south of Mormon Slough and east of the El Dorado Street overpass (Figure 1) Local land use in the <br /> vicinity of the site is industrial and commercial A Southern Pacific rail line is adjacent to the site, <br />' on the south Residential areas are located approximately one-quarter mile south of the site Site <br /> structures, soil boring and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> 3 <br />' Based on monitoring well data,collected between May 1995, and the present time, depth to ground <br /> a water at the site has risen from 47 feet below surface grade (bsg) to 25 feet bsg, with a general <br /> ground water flow direction towards the east and northeast Ground water elevation contour maps <br />' for the site have been included in previous quarterly reports prepared by AGE The current ground <br /> current water elevation contour map is depicted in Figure 3 <br />' AGE has been infoirned that two underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the <br /> property One 1,600-'gallon leaded gasoline UST was removed from the site in August 1986 and one <br /> 2,000-gallon'unleaded gasoline UST was removed from the site in 1990 Petroleum hydrocarbons <br />' were detected in soil samples collected from beneath both USTs at the time of the removals Results <br /> of the UST removals were summarized in reports prepared by American Environmental Management <br /> Corporation(AEMC,6 October 1986)and Condor Earth Technologies,Inc (CET,2 January 1991) <br /> 1 r <br /> SITE ASSESSMENT <br /> 1 <br /> Since 1990 and the UST removal, a total of eight ground water monitoring wells, multiple soil <br />' borings/soil vapor sampling locations, four soil vapor extraction well's and two ground water <br /> extraction wells have been installed at the site to develop a hydrologic model and assess vertical and <br /> ilateral extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water <br /> 1 Advanced GeoF,nvironmental,Inc <br /> 1 i <br />
