1 , <br />' `01 November 2005 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0142 <br /> Page 7 of 8 <br />' 35 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> TPH-g was not detected in samples collected in either June or September 2005 The BTEX <br />' compound xylene was detected in the June'sampling event from MW-7 at 1 1 µg/l No other BTEX <br /> compounds were detected from either monitoring event The fuel additive MTBE was detected in <br /> the June sample collected from well MW-7 at a concentration of 31 µg/1 <br />' The analytical results are summarized in Tables 6 and 7 The laboratory reports (MAI Work Order <br /> 0560513 and CTEL Project No CT214-0509163),quality assurance/quality control(QA/QC)report <br />' and chain of custody forms are included in Appendix E <br /> 36 GEOMkCKER CONFIRMATIONS <br />' GeoTracker confirmation pages of the submitted laboratory electronic deliverable format EDF files <br />' and ground water data are included in Appendix F <br /> 4.0. - SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS <br /> Based on the data collected from the site, AGE concludes , <br />' Results from previous assessment investigations indicated that the highest concentrations of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and ground water(VW-1) were near the former UST area <br /> TK1-90, at a depth interval between 10 and 40 feet bsg, SVE and ground water remediation <br />' efforts are directed in this area and soil-vapor concentrations have been reduced to a <br /> non-detect level Ongoing operation of the SVE remediation most likely will not result in the <br /> reduction of hydrocarbon impact to soil and ground water <br />' The ground water pump-and-treat system was in operation during the second and third <br /> quarters of 2005 Approximately 348,184 gallons of water were processed, AGE estimates <br />' that an average of 2,000 gallons of water were discharged per day during this time <br /> • Based on the amount of ground water processed and laboratory analytical results, <br /> approximately 34 lbs'of TPH-g and 4 9 lbs of benzene were removed from the extracted <br />' ground water during second and third quarters of 2005 To date, a total of 137 lbs of TPH-g <br /> and 20 45 lbs of benzene were extracted from ground water - <br /> Based upon data collected from the site during the current and preceding ground water monitoring <br /> events, AGE concludes , <br />' During the second and third quarters of 2005,the ground water surface appears southeasterly <br /> at a hydrdulic gradient of 0 002 to 0 005 ft/ft However, there is the possibility that the <br />' Advanced GeoEnvironmentsl,Inc <br />
