GROUND ZERO ANALYSIS, INC. <br /> �. 1714 Main Street <br /> Escalon,California 95320-1927 <br /> Telephone (209)838-9888 <br /> Facsimile (209)838-9883 <br /> February 4, 2004 <br /> Ms Lori Duncan <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Subject Fourth Quarter 2003 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> 640 N El Dorado Street, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> This letter report presents the results of fourth quarter 2003 groundwater monitoring and sampling activities <br /> at the subject site(Figure 1) <br /> 1.0 SITE ACTIVITIES <br /> Activities at the site included <br /> Removing free product from well MW3, <br /> • Monitoring water level elevations in all site wells, <br /> • Purging wells MW1 through MW7 and monitoring pH, temperature and electrical conductivity of <br /> groundwater, <br /> Collecting groundwater samples from wells MW I through MW7, <br /> • Analyzing groundwater samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) and diesel (TPHd), <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including <br /> oxygenated gasoline additives <br /> 2.0 FIELD WORK <br /> 2.1 Free Product Measurement and Recovery <br /> A Ground Zero technician measured and removed free product from well MW3 periodically during the <br /> reporting period The thickness of measured product during the reporting period ranged from a high of 0 12 <br /> feet on October 6, 2003 to no measurable product on October 21 and November 3, 2003 The average <br /> measured product thickness between Octo 1, 2003 and December 31, 2003 was 0 03 feet Approximately <br /> 1 8 gallons of product and product/water mixture was removed from well MW3 during the reporting period <br /> utilizing a passive skimmer and by manually bailing the product from the well A passive skimmer was <br /> installed in well MW3 on April 28, 2003 to remove free product <br /> The waste was stored on site in accordance with 49 CFR part 172 and 40 CFR part 262 Table l <br /> summarizes product thickness measurements and product removed Field notes associated with product <br /> bailing, including a chart showing the measured product thickness in the well over time are included in <br /> Attachment 1 <br /> G IGROUNI]ZEIGABBARDIreports%QMR1200314QM2003 doc <br />
