INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Charles Skobrak of Charlie's Day and Nite,Advanced GeoExvironmental,Inc <br />' (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 706 North El Dorado Street, <br /> Stockton,California Quarterly ground water monitoring was conducted on 08 August 2002 The site <br />' location and the surrounding area are Illustrated in Figure 1 Structures as well as boring and <br /> monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Site background Information is provided in <br /> Appendix A <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br />' Field work was performed In accordance with guidelines established by the California Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board-Central ValleyDivision for investigation of underground storage tank <br />' (UST)sites Ground water monitoring procedures were performed as outlined in the AGE-prepared <br /> Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan dated 29 July 1999,as approved by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD)by letter dated 03 August 1999 <br /> 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br /> On 08 August 2002, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in <br /> 1� <br /> p <br />' the three wells (MW 1 through MW5) relative to the tops of the well casings The relative ground <br /> water elevations and gradient were determined from these data (Table 1) <br />' After the depth-to-ground water measurements were collected,the monitoring wells were purged of <br /> standing water using a new plastic bailer Approximately 5 to 5 5 gallons of water, a minimum of <br /> 3 casing-water volumes, were removed from the monitoring wells Ground water temperature, pH <br />' and conductivity were measured at approximately I-gallon intervals during purging using an Oakton <br /> water analyzer Field sheets and data are Included in Appendix B Purged water was stored on site <br /> In labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums <br /> 22 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> A water sample was collected from each monitoring well using a new disposable bailer after <br /> allowing the well to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water <br /> lie sample was transferred Into two 40-m1 VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid as a <br /> sample preservative and one 500-m1 poly bottle without preservative After collection, the samples <br /> were properly labeled, placed in a chilled container and transported under chain-of-custody to <br />' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> y <br />
