' 20 June 2001
AGE-NC Project No 98-0426
No fuel oxygenates were detected above laboratory reporting limits in any of the ground water
samples collected
The current and historical ground water analytical results are summarized on Table 2 The laboratory -
report(MAI Lab I D No 67488 through 67490), chain-of-custody form and the laboratory QA/QC
report are included in Appendix B
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected during this monitoring period, AGE concludes
'
Groundwater flow at the site was toward the northeast which is consistent with the February
2001 monitoring event and regional trends The ground water elevation has increased
approximately 0 5 feet since the February 2001 sampling event
• In general, TPH-g concentrations decreased in the ground water sample from MW2 and
increased in the sample from MW3 this quarter as compared to the February 2001 sampling
event, TPH-g was not detected in the sample from MW-1
BTEX compounds were not detected in the sample from MW-1, but various BTEX
compounds were detected in the samples from MW-2 and MW-3
0 MTBE concentrations remained at non-detectable levels for the fourth consecutive quarter
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' AGE recommends the following
' • Continued quarterly monitoring of the ground water monitoring wells The next monitoring
event will be performed in August 2001
• Discontinue analyses fort'fuel oxygenates
AGE recently submitted two work plans to 1)install two additional groundwater wells in the down-
gradient and eastern cross-gradient directions from monitoring well MW3(Figure 2),and 2)advance
' three soil borings to help define vertical and lateral extent of contamination The work plans have
been approved by the PHS-EHD and the projects are anticipated to occur between the second and
third quarters of 2001
I
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
