10 February 2000
. AGE-NC Project No 98-0426 ,
, r
I4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected from the site, AGE finds '
,} yL
• Ground water flow at the site was toward the northeast;consistent with the October 1999
monitoring event and regional trends
• Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in the ground water samples collected from MW2 and
MW3 at concentrations of 530 ppb and 600 ppb, respectively, significantly lower than
concentrations detected during the October 1999 sampling event
• MTBE and other fuel oxygenates were not detected in any of the ground water samples
collected
' Hydrocarbons were not detected In the grab water sample collected in October 1998 from
boring B2, located between MW2 and MW3, possibly indicating two distinct areas of
' impacted ground water at the former dispenser and UST areas
. 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based on the findings of the environmental activities recounted in this report, AGE recommends
G Continued quarterly monitoring of the ground water monitoring wells on-site The next ,
' monitoring event should be performed in April 2000
• Installation of an additional ground water monitoring well northeast (down-gradient) of
MW3 to define the extent of impacted soil and ground water north of the former-UST
' location l
6:0. LIMITATIONS,
I Our professional services'were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the hydrogeologic conditions
' at the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from a limited number of available data
points (ground water samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points No
other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional recommendations contained in
' this report
,
r
I Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
