PROCEDURES <br /> 4 <br /> Three ground water` momtonng wells were installed in October 1999 Quarterly ground water <br /> monitoring was performed on 26 October 1999 Field work was performed in accordance with PHS- ; <br /> r EHD and CVRWQCB guidelines for the investigation of UST sites <br /> 21 DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br /> Ori 19 October 1999, three soil borings were advanced at the site Boring MW 1 was advanced using <br /> a CME-,75 drill ng, borings MW2 and MW3 were advanced using an Access II drill ng All three <br /> borings were advanced to a depth of 35' feet below surface 'grade (bsg) using S 25-inch diameter <br /> ' hollow-stem' augers The drill rigs and two-men crews were supplied by Geo'o Exploration of <br /> 'I Roseville,'Cahforma Auger returns generated by dnlling were placed on plastic sheeting and stored <br /> on the adjacent property,(121 E .Park Street) pending laboratory analysis <br /> ` Soil samples}were collected ahead of the dell bit,using a split'tube'sampleFloaded with three pre- <br /> cleaned 2-inch,by 6-inch brass sleeves The samples were collected at five-foot intervals, beginning <br /> at 5 feet`bsg in,bonngs MW1 and MW2, and beginning at a depth o'f 15'feet bsg in boring MW3, <br /> using a 140-pound hammer to advance,the sampler 18 inches The number of blows required to <br /> advance the sampler in 6-inchrvincrements was recorded on the boring logs Sampling equipment was { <br /> washed in an Alconox'solution and rinsed with water prior to each sampling run to avoid cross- N <br /> contamination ' <br /> 1 µ <br /> For each sample,both ends of the, sleeve were covered with Teflon sheets, capped'and sealed , <br /> ' <br /> with tape The samples were labeled, stored on ice and transported under cliain-of-custody to <br /> IN , f Advanced GeoEnwronmental,Inc s <br />
