Soils contaminated with volatile
hydrocarbons will be aerated until hydrocarbon levels
are below 1 ppm, then used to backfill the excavation.
Soils contaminated with non-volatile hydrocarbons will
F
be treated on site and disposed of in an appropriate
manner.
o Samples of the soil will be collected at the limits of
the excavation both laterally and vertically based on
` observed field evidence.
o Three on-site soil borings will be extended below the
water table and completed as groundwater monitoring
wells. The wells will be developed and sampled to
assess the possible presence of dissolved hydrocarbons
in the groundwater.
- -- - -
- o A report of the results and findings of this-pro ect -- - -- - --
will be issued.
