{
MOW Site cantaalnatioa Workplan
G.R.S. - atocktan Plating Ina.
Pape -5-
I.abaratory analyses indicated that gasoline and gasoline
constituents (BTEX) were detected in the soil samples. Total
petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-G) were detected at 3300 mg/kg, and
2804 mg/kg. Various concentrations of benzene, toluene, ethyl
benzene, and xylene were detected in both samples. Tetraethyl
lead (TEL) and ethyl dibromide (EDB) were not detected in the
soil samples.
Condor recommended that a minimum of four soil borings be
drilled around the TK1-90 site to investigate the vertical and
horizontal extent of gasoline contamination. Samples would be
* collected at 5-foot intervals and used for geologic logging and
laboratory analyses. The sail borings would be drilled to at
z ra: least 5 feet.below the fif* d detected contamination, or to :the ,
capillary fringe above the water table (Tank Pull Testing
Results, Stockton Plating Inc., 174 E. Scott Street, prepared by
Condor Earth Technologies Inc., January 2, 1990).
3rj
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
h
approved placement of the proposed soil borings around the TK1-90
site and at the same time requested that additional investigation
be conducted at the TK1--86 site. Therefore, two additional soil
borings are to be placed around former tank site TK1-86 for a
:t -
j total of six soil borings.
Y1
M
ar 17 -
s:` FF CONDOR
