SEcC ® IR
. Mr. Mike Infurna
November 21, 2005
Page 3
monitoring wells will be completed with neat cement from the bentonite seal to the ground
surface. Grout will be tremmied within the annular space and the PVC pipe. The well
casing will be topped with a locking cap. The well head will be contained in a watertight
monument well box. Proposed well construction details are included in Table 1. "
Sample Selection and Analysis. If option one is pursued, no soil samples will be
collected from the new well. With option two, soil samples will be collected at 10 foot
interval from 130 to 180 feet bgs from the new boring. Soil samples will be analyzed for -:
TPHg, BTEX, fuel oxygenates (MtBE, DIPE, TAME, EtBE, TBA, and ethanol), and lead
scavengers (1,2-DCA and EDB) using EPA Method 8260. ")
°=f
Monitoring Well Development and Sampling. After installation, the well will be z,
developed by rigorously surging the well over the length of the screen interval and by
purging approximately 10 casing volumes of water. After well development, groundwater
samples will be collected from the newly installed well and sent under standard chain-of-
custody procedures to a California State-certified laboratory. The groundwater samples will
be analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, fuel oxygenates (MtBE, DIPE, TAME, EtBE, TBA, and
ethanol), and lead scavengers (1,2-DCA and EDB) using EPA Method 8260.
Report. A report will be prepared after completion of necessary fieldwork. The report will
include soil boring logs, soil and groundwater analytical results, chain-of-custodyg
documentation, and conclusions. a
Field and laboratory procedures are presented as Attachment A.
a
<f
SCHEDULE
SECOR is prepared to initiate fieldwork following approval of this work plan and issuance of
permits by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. A complete report
will be prepared fully documenting the findings of the additional well installation activities.
