(Aegis), on behalf of Exxon Company, U.S.A., requests <br /> permission to place the stockpiled-soil, at the subject site (Figure 1), back in the former <br /> underground storage (UST) tank basin where it was originally located. The basis. for this <br /> request is as follows: <br /> • The regulatory confirmation samples collectediat the bottom of the UST <br /> basin reported concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH), as <br /> gasoline, from below detection limit (BDL) to 5,300 parts-per-million (ppm) <br /> and benzene from BDL to 11.0 ppm (Table 1); 7whereas, the stockpile soil <br /> samples report TPH, as gasoline, from BDL to: 640 ppm and benz: ene at <br /> BDL (Table 2).
