i <br /> PROBLEM AssMWENT REPORT <br /> 1606 South EI Dorado Street Stockton California <br /> 1 O INTRODUCTION <br /> This report documents the results of subsurface soil and groundwater investigation <br /> activities conducted by Aegis Environmental, Inc (Aegis), at the former Exxon <br />' Company U S A (Exxon) gasoline station and convenience store site located at 1605 <br /> South EI Dorado Street, Stockton, California (Figure 1) This report also assesses the <br /> extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater and discusses remedial <br /> action alternatives for the project site The work was performed in response to a <br /> request for site investigation by the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services/Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS/EHD) in a letter dated <br /> October 13, 1992 This report is based, in part, on information provided to Aegis by <br /> Exxon, and is subject to modification as newly acquired information may warrant <br />' 1 1 Purpose <br />' The purpose of this investigation and assessment was to <br /> • Further define the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and <br /> groundwater beneath the site and in the immediate vicinity of the site <br /> • Assess the horizontal and vertical extent of groundwater and soil <br /> containing petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> • Evaluate the feasibility of soil vapor extraction as a subsurface <br />' remediation option <br /> • Discuss remedial alternatives based upon investigation results <br /> 1 <br />' 91 044A PAR 1 <br /> 1 <br />
