El Dorado Senior Apartments, 1700 S. El Dorado St., Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Malm: AUG -=5 19RI
As you requested in your letter of June 11, 1992, I have reviewed various correspondence and
data related to the removal of 5 underground tanks from the above referenced site. Additionally,
we collected a single soil sample from a depth of 48 inches below grade at the point designated
t
by Mr. Charles Hunt, of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Department (PHS/EHD). This sample was analyzed by a state certified hazardous waste
laboratory for total and soluble lead, as requested by Mr. Hunt. I understand that you are
f seeking closure of the file with the PHS/EHD and are concerned that there be no outstanding
issues of contamination.
Based on the material which I have received, the following represents a project chronology:
August 29, 1991: T. Hull informs City Public Works Department that.. 3-5
underground tanks have been found on City property adjacent to
the Senior Apartments Community Room.
October, 1991: Five underground tanks are removed at the site. The soils
` removed during excavation were stockpiled at the side of the
building along 3rd Street.
December 30, 1991: A total of 11 soil samples were collected at the site by RAMCON/WEST.
Seven of these samples were taken . directly below the removed
underground tanks at a depth of 12 feet below grade (samples TIA, TIB,
L-072192.RW1
R
