Four samples (SIA,
SIB, S2A, S2B) were collected from the removed soils stockpiled on 3rd
Street (see site plan). These samples were each analyzed for the
following:
BTEX (EPA 8020)
total gasoline hydrocarbons EPA (8015 Mod)
halogenated solvents (EPA 8010 & 8240)
total lead (EPA 7420)
In addition to these analyses, the sample (T5 on figure) from a 300 gallon
tank possibly believed to have contained waste oil was analyzed for:
• total diesel hydrocarbons (EPA 8015)
• purgeable chlorinated hydrocarbons (EPA 8010)
• extractable organic priority pollutants (EPA 8270)
• total chromium, lead, cadmium, nickel and zinc
• hexavalent chromium
The results from these analyses indicated the following:
no BTEX was detected in any of the 11 samples
- no gasoline hydrocarbons were detected in any of the 11
samples .
- no extractable petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel or motor
oil were detected in sample T5 from beneath the 300 gallon
tank
- no extractable organic priority pollutants were detected in
Sample T5 from beneath the 300 gallon tank
- no purgeable chlorinated organics were detected in any of
the samples analyzed
- total lead concentrations ranged from less than 5 ppm to 90
Ppm
- the sample from beneath the 300 gallon tank exhibited a
total chromium concentration of 43 ppm, a total lead
concentration of 10 ppm, a total cadmium level less than .5
ppm, a total zinc level of 140 ppm and a total nickel level
L-072192.RWI
