The work plan proposed
installing a dual-phase soil vapor/groundwater extraction system to reduce the mass of
the contamination source existing in the sub-surface soil and in the groundwater.
The EHD has made a tentative determination that the plan is in compliance with
California Health & Safety Code Chapter 6 . 7 , Section 25299 . 37 and California Code of
Regulations Corrective Action Requirements , and that the resultant work will not create
significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed the benefits to be gained from
cleanup of the contamination .
The remediation plan is available for public review at EHD , 600 East Main Street,
Stockton during normal working hours , 8 : 00 a . m . - 5 : 00 p. m . Final EHD approval
for the plan is scheduled for August 27 , 2010 .
Questions regarding specific site concerns or procedures should be directed to Frank
Girardi of EHD at 209-953-7868 .
