N
09 April 2009
AGE-NC Project No . 06- 1457
until the fourth quarter of 2009, when funds maybe available.
Additionally, Mr. Matar is preparing to perform the Enhanced Vapor Recover / In Station
Diagnostics (EVP /ISD) upgrades, which will cost at least an additional $50,000. The EVRupgrade,
combined with the current economic downturn, has drastically reduced Mr. Matar's ability to
continue the environmental cleanup without reimbursement or other funding options.
Mr. Matar and AGE will continue to explore other financing options to augment the USTCF. One
of the most promising financial options is NatLust. Natlust's mission is to provide immediate
liquidity to Responsible Party's with approved fund claims where the particular state- administered
trust fund cannot reimburse claims in a timely manner. NatLust will help promote the state cleanup
fund's statutory goals, which typically include meeting EPA's financial responsibility regulations,
as well as promoting a cleaner environment and improved public health through timely cleanup.
Recently, NatLust met with the California State Water Resources Control Boardto develop aprocess
for NatLust to operate in California. From our communications with Mr. Lindsay Trittipoe
(President of NatLust), it appears NatLust will be able to begin operating in California by 01 July
2009. For more information, please see the NatLust website http ://www.natlust.org/.
Your cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated and is vital to the continued success
of this ground water cleanup effort.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact our office at (209) 467- 1006 .
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
a A Q, — 0 ;( ;I
10
Ally L.
