OS September 2400 , <br /> AGE-NC Project No 99-0655 <br />' Page4of5 <br />' 3 4 DISPOSAL OF HYDROCARBON-IMPACTED SOIL <br /> On 25 May 2000, 522 cubic yards (approximately 639 tons) of excavated soil from the former UST <br />' and former UST area was disposed at Forward Landfill Appendix A includes disposition records <br /> for the soil <br />' <br /> 4.0. , FINDIN <br /> GS <br /> 4 1 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES <br /> , <br /> TPH-g was detected in the UST floor soil samples Floor S and Floor N at concentrations of 9 9 <br />' milligrams per kilogram(mg/kg) and 4 2 mg/kg, respectively BTEX compounds were detected at <br /> concentrations as high as 0 67 mg/kg (xylenes) TPH-g and BTEX compounds were not detected in <br /> any of the soil samples recovered from the walls of the former UST area <br /> . MTBE was detected in Floor N and Floor S at concentrations of 2,300 and 15,000 rnicrogram per <br /> kilogram(pg/kg) by EPA 8260 Modified,respectively MTBE was detected in only one soil sample <br /> recovered from the walls of the excavation area(South Wall) at a concentration of 0 012 µg/kg ' <br /> Stockpile soil samples contained TPHWg at concentrations as high as 420 mg/kg and BTEX <br /> compounds were detected at concentrations as high as 30 mg/kg MTBE was detected in only one <br /> Stockpile soil sample,(SPLA-B) at a concentration of 250 µg/kg <br /> t <br /> Table 1 presents analytical results of the over excavation soil samples AGE calculates that <br /> approximately 53 gallons of gasoline was removed' in the soil excavated during the interim <br /> 'remediation on the site in May 2000 The calculations for the hydrocarbon-rriass removed is <br /> presented Appendix B <br /> The laboratory reports (McCampbell Analytical,Inc Lab ID Nos 3 8119 through 3 8129) and chain- <br /> of-custody forms are included in Appendix C <br /> 5.0.
