I15 June 2004 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 01-0815 <br /> Page 3 of 8 <br /> • The fuel additives di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), MTBE, <br /> tertiary-amyl methyl ether(TAME), tertiary butanol(TBA), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) <br /> and 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB)by EPA Method 8260 Modified <br /> 2 15 Monitoring Well Development <br /> On 24 March 2004, monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 were developed utilizing a Waterra <br /> inertia pump with a hose bailer Ground water was purged from each monitoring well until ground <br /> water was visually sediment free, approximately 20 to 40 gallons of water were removed from each <br /> I well Purged ground water was containerized in properly labeled DOT-approved model 17H <br /> 55-gallon drums and was stored on-site Field sheets and data are included in Appendix C <br /> 2 16 Well Head Survey <br /> On 30 March 2004,a California state-licensed surveying engineer from Morrow Surveying surveyed <br /> the location and elevation of monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4,the location was surveyed to <br /> the nearest 0 1 foot relative to coordinate datum NAD 83 (1986), and the elevation at the top of the <br /> I well casing was surveyed to the nearest 0 01-foot relative to Stockton benchmark#31,at an elevation <br /> 10 59 feet above mean sea level (MSL) The results of the monitoring well survey are contained in <br /> Table 3 The surveying report (Morrow Surveying) is presented in Appendix D <br /> 2 17 Equipment Decontamination <br /> All augers used were cleaned prior to advancement in each boring location The sampling equipment <br /> was washed in an Alconox solution and triple rinsed with water prior to each sampling run to avoid <br /> cross-contamination <br /> I2 2 QUARTERLY WELL MONITORING PROCEDURES <br />' The initial quarterly ground water monitoring event was performed on 30 March 2004,ground water <br /> monitoring was performed on monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 <br /> I2 2 1 Well Monitoring and Evacuation <br /> The depth to ground water in each monitoring well was measured from the,top of the well casing to <br /> the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water elevation in each well was <br /> IAdvanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc <br />
