Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan Addendum
MCBILLIN REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT
ffI 2154 South EI Dorado Street, Stockton , California
L, 1
1 .0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Minh Le , Advanced GeoEnvironmental , Inc. (AGE) has prepared
this work plan addendum for the property located at 2154 South El Dorado Street,
Stockton , California (site) . A monitoring well installation work plan (dated 09 October
2013) was previously approved for this site by the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department ( EHD) by letter dated 28 October 2013.' Thereafter, shallow— c,,. ),I,
groundwater monitoring wells MW-2 through MW-6 were installed at the site in
tilQovember 2013 . Based on the results of the November 2013 well installations , the EHD
has directed groundwater_ impact be assessed offsite towards the northeast, east,
southeast, south , southwest and west. This work plan addendum details procedures for
the installation of four off-site shallow groundwater monitoring wells to potentially assess
I the hydrocarbon impact from leaking underground storage tanks (USTs) previously
1 located at the site . Additionally, AGE is proposing the collection of a deep grab .( y
groundwater samples (90 feet) at all four proposed well installation areas .
- 1 This work plan has been prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the subsurface
investigation of UST sites , and is in response to an EHD directive_ letter, dated 24
L. September 2014 (Appendix A) , f *r
r
A site location map is included as Figure 1 . Historical soil boriribs ,, UST locations and
I- current monitoring well locations are illustrated in Figur 2 ; proposed off-site
groundwater monitoring well locations are depicted in Figure 3 . A table detailing the
existing well construction details is included in Table 11 . Historical soil , groundwater
elevation and groundwater analytical data are included in Tables 2 through 5 .
r
- 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
- 1 The scope of the work includes the drilling and installation of four shallow-screened
groundwater monitoring wells [between 20 and 40 feet below surface grade (bsg)] at the
-- site to assess hydrocarbon impact to first-encountered groundwater resulting from
previously installed leaking UST's . Prior to well installation , a soil boring will be
advanced adjacent to the monitoring well pilot boring , to depths of approximately 90 feet
bsg for the purpose of logging lithology and for collection of a deep grab groundwater
sample. The scope of work will include the following tasks :
i
• Permitting and pre-field work activities ;
Pilot drilling and soil sample collection :,, C
_ Advanced GcoEnvironmcntal Inc.
