10 September 2012 <br /> AGE Project No , 11 - 1847 <br /> Page 5 of 9 <br /> collection of groundwater samples for laboratory analysis by a CDPH-certified laboratory <br /> for contaminants listed in Section 2 . 3 . Groundwater sample collection protocols are <br /> described in Section 3 . 5 , <br /> 2 .5 , REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of initial field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis , a report will be <br /> prepared presenting findings of the investigation ; if the contingent borings are deemed <br /> necessary an addendum will be prepared outlining the second phase of the work to be <br /> performed . Additionally, following each quarterly monitoring event, a quarterly groundwater <br /> monitoring report will be prepared presenting findings . All reports will include descriptions <br /> of work performed and results of sampling and analysis. Also , conclusions and applicable <br /> recommendations will be included in the reports . Reports will be in a format acceptable to <br /> the CVRWQCB , and will be reviewed and signed by a California Professional Geologist. <br /> 3.0 . FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative working under the <br /> supervision of a California Professional Geologist. Procedures for advancing soil probe <br /> borings , collection and analysis of soil and groundwater samples, monitoring well <br /> completion , equipment decontamination and sample handling are presented below. <br /> 3 . 1 . PROBE SOIL BORING ADVANCEMENT <br /> Soil borings SB1 through SB4 and contingent borings SB-5 through SB-7 will be advanced <br /> using a truck mounted AMS Powerprobe direct-push probing unit equipped with 1 .25-inch <br /> probing rods . The Powerprobe advances soil probe borings using a hydraulic hammer to <br /> drive soil and groundwater sampling tools to specified depths. <br /> 3 . 1 . 1 . Soil Sampling <br /> Soil samples will be collected from borings SB1 through SB7 at discreet five-foot intervals <br /> beginning at five (5) feet bsg using a 1 . 25 inch Geoprobe soil sampling assembly loaded <br /> with a two-foot acetate liner. Upon sample retrieval , a selected portion of the liner will be <br /> cut and covered with Teflon sheets , capped and sealed with tape. <br /> Advanced GcoEnviron mental, Inc. <br />
