El Dorado St., Stockton, CA County Site Code: 9401; USTCFP Claim#012607 Dear Mr. Munch: In a letters from San Joaquin County, dated March 16, August 3 and November 6, 1998, Mr. Jeff Wong requested that the vertical extent of soil and groundwater contamination be defined on the property located at 2315 N. El Dorado St., Stockton,.California. It should be noted that Jeff Wong changed the scope of work three times as to the method of defining the vertical extent of groundwater contamination. We ultimately arrived at Addendum #2. Summary of Current Corrective Action Work 1. On October 29, 1998, Geological Technics prepared a work plan to perform vertical definition investigative work. 2. In January 1999, Mr. Wong requested, by phone, that an addendum to the work plan be prepared that included a nested pair of deep discretely screened monitoring wells. 3. January 13, 1999 GTI submitted an addendum to the October 29, 1998 work plan describing the construction of the nested well pair. 4.- :In a February 4,-1999-letter-;-Mr.-Jeff Wong asked-for,an additional Addendum to-the October --- �� 29, 1998 Site Characterization Work Plan, which modified the well construction. 5. On February 15, 1999, GTI prepared a second addendum describing the modified construction of these two wells. During, the course of the iterations taken to achieve approval of the work plan by the County inspector, GTI spent some considerable time on the phone with Jeff Wong and prepared two addendum's revising the method of drilling and sampling and the construction of the monitoring wells. Since this was taking so long, GTI performed a groundwater monitoring of the existing wells. This work is not included in the enclosed budget for future work, but will be included in the reimbursement request the Mr. Valentine will prepare.
