Hunter & Associates <br /> October 1, 1994 <br /> PURPOSE OF THIS ADDENDUM: <br /> On September 30, 1994, equipment was mobilized at the above site <br /> in order to place a 40 foot auger boring on the property to <br /> evaluate soil contamination caused by a removed waste oil tank. <br /> During that work, soil contamination was found to extend below <br /> the 40' programmed depth. After approval from the County EHD, <br /> the auger hole was deeped to 60' , at which depth groundwater was <br /> encountered. Soil contamination was noted in drill cuttings & <br /> core samples to that depth, and after discussions with the owner <br /> & County EHD, it was agreed to convert the auger hole to a <br /> groundwater monitoring well. This revised workplan addresses <br /> that change in program. <br /> WORKPLAN ADDENDUM TO WORKPLAN DATED 8/17/1994: <br /> 1. Mobilize Spectrum Exploration auger rig & support truck on <br /> location previously selected. <br /> 2. Using clean, 8 1/4" hollow-stem augers, advance soil boring <br /> to approximately 70' bgl, (10 feet below groundwater, which is <br /> expected to be encountered at 60' . ) <br /> 3. Soil samples are to be taken at 5 foot intervals from 15' bgl <br /> to the capillary fringe, estimated to be at 60' bgl. Samples to <br /> be described, sealed & preserved per WJH standard field protocol. <br /> 4. After locating groundwater, augers will be advanced a minimum <br /> of 10 feet below that depth, preparatory to completing as a <br /> groundwater monitoring well. <br /> 5. Run 2" , flush, screw-joint blank and slotted SCH. 40 PVC to <br /> total depth; slotted screen to extend from bottom to 5' above top <br /> of water table. Annular space from bottom to 2-3' above screen <br /> to be filled with #2 or #3 graded sand. Sand pack to be capped <br /> with 2' of bentonite & cemented to the surface with a cement/ <br /> bentonite slurry. <br /> 6. Top of casing to extend approximately 6" into a precast <br /> 1 <br />
